Hand,Foot and Mouth Disease

Oh dear. The doctor says Ezra probably has hand, foot and mouth disease. This alarms me. My foggy memory is dredging up hazy images of pyres of dead cattle and extreme hygiene standards to prevent the spread in agricultural circles a few years ago, before BSE hit Canada. Phrases like "severe economic impact" flit through my mind. This is what Ezra has???

Ah, no. Thanks to google, I have found out that it is a common childhood illness, can make the poor little guys miserable, and is not to be confused with foot and mouth disease in cattle. Aha. Usually shows up 3-6 days after exposure.
