it's that time again

I can't believe it's already time for So You Think You Can Dance. Apparently it starts tonight at 8 with a 90-minute show, then there's a two-hour show next Wednesday. Luckily next week's show will not conflict with the new show Traveler, that I have also become hooked on.

Any other SYTYCD fans out there? I really want to see a belly dancer on there. Or maybe I would be happy if I could get my hands on the Turkish version of the show...

I'm swamped at work, and we're still sick at home, so no time for a longer post right now.

Hey, I noticed the book you are reading in your sidebar, Spontaneous Healing- I have a meditation from that guy Dr. Weil that I downloaded from somewhere. I didn't even know he was an author. I love the meditation he gives. It's very unique and thoughtful.

How are you enjoying that book?

I LOVE SYTYCD!!!! I was obsessed last summer, and as weird as this sounds, that silly, fun show got me through a really rough patch in my life. Total escape.

Lost and SYTYCD. Now tell me you love Buffy and i will be convinced we were separated at birth!

Oh dear Christine... sorry to disappoint you but I never really watched Buffy. I did, however, consider making it my dvd summer watching show. My friend has the entire series on dvd and I expect to borrow it from her.

Krista - I have read several of Dr. Weil's books and love them. I like his approach and he's very readable. You may also enjoy his Marriage of the Sun and Moon, which is also in my library.

Sigh. Well, unless it's on DVD (which I doubt), there's no way I'll ever watch it. But I'm glad that you're anticipating it.

I think Buffy's on my list for summer watching, too...

Still sick? Ugh. Get better, already! :)

I don't watch SYTYCD.

Now that Idol is finished, my TV watching will be considerably less frequent.

And that's probably a good thing.

Feel better!

i fell in love with SYTYCD last year when O was a newborn...i thought i might wiggle away all my baby fat trying to copy Benjy's hip shaking. beats the ass of Idol and Dancing with the Stars, in my humble opinion.

though it didn't really work on the baby fat, i will admit. maybe this season!

I watch SYTYCD, and never American Idol - it's a little alarming how happy I am about it starting tonight, but with the end of Grey's and Heroes I have had not chewing gum for my brain. It's back, it's back, hurray!
Buffy, not so much here, but please try more Joss Whedon, like Firefly, funny and beautiful and on DVD for summer watching!

re: Karen's comment

Plus, you can probably get through Firefly in a weekend or two! Definitely my favorite of Whedon's creations, though I am also a Buffy fan and own most of the seasons on DVD.

But summer is a TV wasteland for me since I'm not into reality programs--just as well since I need to be working on my comps!

not only do I get to watch SYTYCD tonight, but I get to watch it while Chris plays with my hair for an hour, as that is my equivilent of the, ahem, treat he had last night.

So stoked.

p.s. come play at the farmer's market this weekend!!

Lordy, when do you people find time to watch TV. I am radiating envy here. I saw a few episodes last year but in my house the hours from 8-10 are devoted entirely to getting a child to bed. Damn husband who works 6 nights a week messing with my TV-viewing habits.

I've never watched SYTYCD--but on your recommendation I watched "Traveler" online last week and now can't wait for nest week's episode!

Traveler is good?

Mad: DVR/TiVO. It is the only way to live. We are truly TV junkies here, and we have a lengthy list of can't miss shows. We watch them after the kids go to bed, or on the weekends during naptime.

I am! I will probably end up downloading it though (we're usually just getting dinner at 8).

Thanks for the heads up!

My wife is crazy into that show. I'll watch it with her when it gets down to the finals.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE! Oh yeah. I love that show - last night's episode was wonderful!

Oh me me me!!!

I'm so excited. I even blogged about it today! I posted in a few of my favorite dances, but that was actually a really hard choice once I started reviewing them all.

I love dance, love the dancers, watching them learn the dances and do them.
