Azkaban is the best one. Really it is. They're all fun but Azkaban will always have a corner place in my heart.
you are miles ahead of me. even my 8 year old son has read them all. i've only managed the first.

I'm glad that you're here, even if you're fashionably late.
Yeah, I really think that was my favourite of the series. Remus and Lupin are two of my favourite literary characters.

Dani, I KNOW! I thought for sure Lupin would stay on, and was probably as devastated as Harry that he left. AND that Sirius had to go into hiding.
Uh Sin, you might be noticing a trend with the Defence Against the Dark Arts job.
Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite too: so tightly plotted, so much back story, so NOT about Voldemort coming back.
That's not to say that it's all downhill from here, though. Book 7 is pretty good too. ;)
My advice is, race on to the next one, then go back and reread them all ;)
That was definitely the best book of the series. I'm with other people, read them all, and then go back and re-read.
Does your library carry the audiobooks? Because Jim Dial narrates and he is FANTASTIC. I highly recommend them as a supplement to the books.
PofA is the best. It is the one where you finally realize that the story arc spans all the books and how much forethought went into the complete story and all the episodes.
I am JUST one chapter into book 4. bigirl has finished book seven. Read it with me.....book four that is....
