I trimmed Swee'pea's fingernails for the first time last time. No blood, and I think he actually liked it! Next up: toenails.
Also, I'm going away to Halifax this weekend -- without Swee'pea or Sugar D! And I'm flying to get there. I'm not sure which is more scary: leaving Swee'pea for three whole nights or flying without Sugar D's hand to squeeze the life out of or a certain blogger spending the night at my house tonight so we can catch the plane in the morning. Not much I can do about the first, but I've got my lorazepam all lined up for the second. As for the third... well I've got some SERIOUS cleaning (and packing) to do.
And a long lost high school friend of mine has a blog too. Actually, she's got two, one for children's book reviews and one more personal.
Also, I'm getting lonely over at peripheralvision. I want to keep my photography blogging over there, but it's not nearly as friendly as this space and it's hard to keep writing when nobody's reading. No obligation of course, but if you're interested in that stuff, I'd love to see you there.

I'm envious that you are going to Halifax to hang out with fabulous bloggers. I am going trailer camping. In the rain and cold. With three kids.
Pass the lorazepam.
Bea is totally going to be checking out the paint colours in your house. You know this, right? ;)
Oooh, paint colours!
I made hubby clean out his car somewhat, but trust me, in its normal state it must be at least as bad as your house.
I'm reasonably confident on our paint colours, as long as they can be seen. Sadly, the room you're staying in hasn't been painted yet in the nice taupe I have planned.
Lucky you hanging with Bea! I totally want to dish on paint colours too.
I want to go to Halifax and have a sleepover with Bea! (if you could see me, you'd know I was pouting and have my arms crossed petulantly...okay, so my arms aren't crossed, but only because it makes it hard to type!)
Hello! Well, thanks for the plug!!! I hope you enjoy Halifax. I'm sure you will. I am going on a five day horse clinic put on by this amazing horse whisperer guy. I am so excited, but I am terrified to leave the kids all day. Good thing the guy is my neighbour and Cowboy can shoot the baby over for quick booby snacks at lunch. I am not sure if I am more scared to be without the kids, or fearful that they will never make it with their dad. By the way, are you still a horsewoman? I still laugh when I think of the Scot getting bucked off in the manure pile.
Have a fantastic weekend!
I am so jealous, too. If only I could get my sticky little hands on that deposit cheque from the recent sale of our house, I'd be there in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, it doesn't close for a while yet.
And congratulations on the nail-trimming. It's never as bad as you think it'll be.
Hmmm...I wonder what Bea would say about the paint colours in our current home...
Have a great trip. Squeeze everybody for me ok?
eeeeek - why do you mention no blood when you cut the nails? Is it normal for babies to bleed when you cut their nails????????????
